A £2 cap on single bus fares across Glasgow and the wider Strathclyde area is expected to cost the Scottish Government around £100 million a year.

The cap began on September 7, with operators reimbursed for the difference between the capped fare and their normal price.

Supporters say it makes bus travel more affordable; the cost will be scrutinised as budgets are set.
